What To Do Hereread more
Empty your piggy banks because shopping in Liverpool is fantastic, especially if clothes and designer accessories are your thing. The Cavern Centre in the trendy Cavern Quarter has exclusive designer boutiques and names like Vivienne Westwood. Or St John’s Shopping centre in city centre has 100+ shops with all the major high street names and top brands. Liverpool One has 60 select, funky shops and overlooks Chavasse Park. You can’t come to Liverpool and not go to the Beatles Shop for some decent memorabilia – it’s the biggest tourist magnet.
Hop onto the groovy Duckmarine - a massive, canary yellow ex-army vehicle (you’ve never seen anything like it). The hour long trip begins with a land tour of the city’s best bits; then the Duckmarine splashes full-on into the water and takes you around the Albert Dock. Lots of fun with a running commentary throughout.
If you’re into a bit of culture, Liverpool’s museums and art galleries are all free.
There are lots of pretty green picnic spots to chill out in with a few bottles of wine – try the gorgeous Sefton Park.
The Liverpool restaurant scene is thriving and the choice of good places to eat out is HUGE. Food is top quality, from crafted Japanese sushi to Greek, melt in the mouth moussaka or the most stylish fish and chips you’ve ever had!
The Tea Factory has a laid back, fun atmosphere and is a great place for lunch if you’re not going to get completely legless. There is a wide menu, including funky finger foods and the aforementioned most stylish cod and chips in the country. Decor is stunning and this place is frequented by celebs.
Another top place for lunch is The Quarter – an uber-cool wine bar and bistro with lovely food, outdoor seating and yummy cocktails.
If it’s pure, loud, crazy fun that you want at lunchtime, then the Revolution is the place to be – great food, great cocktails, great vibe.
